The San Francisco Giants will be represented in the All-Star Game next week by 26-year old righty starting pitcher Tim Lincecum and 28-year old righty reliever Brian Wilson. Lincecum has started 17 games for the Giants this season and he is 8-4 with a 3.28 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. He has whiffed 121 batters in only 109 2/3 innings plus he has only allowed 97 hits so his stuff is still there. But he has walked 46 batters this season and it has gotten him into a little trouble one in a while. This will be Lincecum’s third All-Star appearance. Brian Wilson is having another outstanding year for the Giants. He has pitched in 33 games (0 starts) for the Giants this year and he is 2-0 with 22 saves, a 2.04 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. He has whiffed 49 batters this season in only 35 1/3 innings as he slams the door when he enters the game. This is Wilson’s 2nd All-Star appearance.
