The San Francisco Giants sign Andy Sisco

Blogged under General, Front Page, Arrivals & Departures, Bloglockers by chinmusic on Wednesday 10 March 2010 at 4:34 pm

The Giants have signed 27-year old lefty reliever Andy Sisco to a minor league deal. Sisco did not pitch in the majors or minors in 2008 or 2009. He has pitched in 151 games (0 starts) in his major league career and he is 3-9 with 1 save, a 5.18 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP. Lefties with the kind of stuff that Sisco has are always in demand. If he can stay healthy and throw strikes the Giants might have a steal in him.

This guy has nasty stuff. Hope he can get it done this year. He truly could be a super pick up.

I agree with you guys. If he throws strikes he could be really effective for them in 2010.

Ditto on all the previous posts. This is a kid that works so hard to be the best at what he does. Throwing strikes will be key to his success.
