The Giants have re-signed righty reliever Tyler Walker to a 1-year, $750,000 contract. He was rewarded for pitching well when they called him up last season as he pitched in 15 games and he was 2-0 with a 1.26 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. Walker has now pitched in 165 games (1 start) in his major league career and he is 15-9 with 34 saves, a 4.51 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP. This was a good for the Giants as Walker is a low risk/high reward type of pitcher.
